About the role
Are you ready to make a difference in your community? The City of Coffs Harbour is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our Transport Services team.
As a Maintenance Attendant, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the City's infrastructure. You'll assist with the construction and repair of roads, footpaths, cycleways, and drainage systems, as well as the upkeep of public assets like signage, bus stops, and guideposts. Your work will also include street and public amenity cleaning, operating trucks and machinery, and using mobile technology to manage tasks and report issues.
You'll be part of a supportive team that responds to emergencies, tackles a variety of maintenance tasks, and takes pride in delivering high-quality service to the beautiful Coffs Harbour community.
There will be a requirement to be available to support the "on-call" coordinator as and when required.

What's on offer?
- Multiple Opportunities available
- $57,342.20 to $61,231.76 per annum + 12% Superannuation
- Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week
- Options to accrue RDO's and flexible working arrangements.
- Generous leave entitlements - long service leave after 5 years
- Scope for performance-based salary increases.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate III in Civil Construction/Maintenance Operations or similar, and/or demonstrated significant experience in a relevant field.
- National Construction Induction Certificate (Whitecard).
- Class MR Drivers Licence (or must obtain at your own cost within 6 months from appointment).
Desirable
- Experience in operating small plant such as compaction plates, concrete vibrators, brush cutters, blowers, power sprays and chainsaws.
- Module 1 (crosscut) chainsaw accreditation.
- SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Licenses:
- Traffic controller (TCR).
- Implement traffic control plans (IMP).
- National Farm Chemical Users Certificate.
- First Aid Certificate.
